There seem to be some serious changes at Beats Music, the music streaming service of Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine that Apple bought for US$ 3 billion back in August this year. As TechCrunch reports, Apple may be shutting down the Beats Music streaming service very soon.

Billboard has also taken to the subject and talked to representatives at Apple which say the TechCrunch report is „simply not true“, but the magazine also reports that Apple „is fully committed to offering a subscription service, though changes to any existing product are always a possibility“.

Billboard goes on to speculate that Beats Music may be implemented in iTunes and the Beats Music brand name may disappear in favor of the so-called iTunes streaming service. Beats’ headphone department will be not affected by this.
