2013 has been a very quiet year for Porter Robinson fans. Apart from playing in Las Vegas and his appearances at the big festivals, there haven’t been much musical output from the 21 years old producer. Well, great things are about to happen and the silence broke this morning: according to Billboard, Porter Robinson has an almost complete album ready and signed to his new record company Virgin EMI U.K. / Astralwerks after a bidding war. He now joins the family with label-colleagues Deadmau5, Fatboy Slim or Chemical Brothers. The unnamed album is scheduled for 2014.

Porter also had some things to say about the tone of the album:

„There are a lot of labels out there that want to have the next big EDM thing and that’s totally not what the album is about at all. It kind of lives more in the alternative space than in the dance world.“
