German DJ, producer, label head and radio host Moguai keeps up the vibes with his latest single „Aciiid“, and I can tell you that you get what you just read. As Moguai explained on Elektro Magazine:

“I’ve always been a big fan of the TB 303 sounds and actually the first record I ever released was an acid EP, which came out on the Belgian label Important Records. For me, I see 303 as being the electric guitar of electronic music. In some way I’ve always wanted to make another acid track with the same acid line that eventually became the one on ‘Aciiid,’ but it never worked out time-wise as my sound was different. Sometimes you can feel music and zeitgeist; at the moment I feel like its time for acid again.”

So it’s time for a wellknown Acid bassline and the classic shout from the 1988 record by D-Mob (maaan, it’s 26 years old!!!:

The track is out now via Spinnin’ Records.

On a personal note: this reminds me of another „Phatt“ record that hit very hard commercially. Expected something cooler from Moguai, but maybe it’s just me…
