If you visited Armin van Buuren’s parties this summer at Ibiza’s Ushuaia hotel (which I highly recommend!!!), you might have recognized the new live performance van Buuren has displayed during his DJ sets. Most obvious, the movements of his arms were copied on the massive LED screens behind him with heavy lightning and other onscreen projections. This is made possible by a new technology, Thalmic Lab’s Myo armband technology, which allows the wearer of an armband to turn the music down by making a fist or control stage lightning with a wave of their arms. Compatible with favorite DJ tools like Serato or Traktor, the armband enables you to adjust pitch, tone, tempo, and volume by grabbing, twisting, turning and squeezing with your arms.
